Additionally, trades are never held overnight, and all open positions or orders are closed by the end of the New York session.
This dynamic adjustment allows Stop Loss and Take Profit levels to contract during low volatility and expand significantly during periods of high volatility, as seen in recent months. This approach optimizes potential profitability while effectively managing risk. The system’s fully automated design enables traders to take advantage of a continually evolving strategy that responds to the market’s underlying movements.
Additionally, GoldCycle steers clear of high-risk martingale or grid strategies, executing only one trade per day. It also provides an optional recovery function after a loss, allowing traders greater flexibility in managing their risk. Also it can run successfully on fixed risk with no increase. Designed to be compatible with prop firms, GoldCycle sets limit and entry orders based on the day’s high and low during the early European session, effectively navigating the risk thresholds established by these firms.
The system demonstrates impressive backtesting performance over extended periods with Real Tick Testing, confirming its resilience across various market conditions.
The system is default ready to backtest using GOLD 1-hour chart, assuming your broker is using GMT+2 with DST offset. For GMT0 and exness users, sets can be found in the comments section.
The system uses a % Risk for money management, automatically adjusting the lot size based on the placement of the stop loss. Therefore, in low volatility the lot size would increase as stop loss get closer to opening price level.
